Daylighting in buildings

Streszczenie / Adstract:

The lecture will deal with the benefits provided by daylighting in buildings, especially focusing on the energy saving connected to the reduction of consumptions due to electric light. The first part will be focused on the description of the characteristics of daylight and of the technologies to improve daylighting in buildings. Then, in the second part the calculation methods to evaluate daylight availability in indoor spaces and connected energy savings will be showed, considering both a static and a dynamic evaluation approach.
