The Department of Photonics, Electronics and Lighting Technology Team includes: 11 independent researchers, 12 assistant professors, 3 research technicians. The scientific activity of employees is characterized by a high degree of internationalization, especially regarding to publishing in major international scientific journals, as well as participation in scientific conferences and membership in the scientific associations, networks and organizations, especially in: IEEE, Polish Academy of Science (Electromagnetic Safety Section of the Electronics and Telecommunications Committee and Committee on Metrology and Research Equipment), International Commission on Illumination CIE, Polish Committee for Lightning Protection, Polish Society of Theoretical and Applied Electrical Engineering and Photonics Society of Poland.
Didactics is carried out in the fields of: photonics, lighting and optical fiber techniques, photovoltaic, telecommunication and teleinformatics including multimedia, high frequency techniques, electronic and microprocessor equipment, high voltage techniques, electromagnetic compability and lightning protection.
Lectures and laboratory lessons are carried out on all fields of the 1st and 2nd degree studies offered by Faculty of Electrical Engineering. Especially Department of Photonics Electronics and Lighting Technology is responsible for bachelor and master studies of Electric Power Engineering and Lighting Technology, Electronics and Telecommunication (in Polish and English).
