1949Establishing of a Private Evening Engineering College with the departments of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering

1950The very first enrolment of students for electrical engineering

1954The first graduation – 28 electrical engineers leave the School

1959The first PhD promotion of the employee of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering

1964The first agreements on scientific cooperation are entered into with foreign universities of Charkov, Riga, Kaunas and Gabrov

1973The school obtains the right to run full-time master programs for all faculties

1991Starts the new field of studies: Electronics and Telecommunication

2002The Faculty of Electrical Engineering moves to a new building in the main BUT campus

2005The Faculty obtains the right to give the DSc degree in electrical engineering

2010Starts the new field of studies: Power engineering

2014The registration of The Optical Fibers Laboratory and High Voltage Techniques Laboratory on The Polish Map of Research infrastructure

2015Opening of The Research and Education Centre of Faculty of Electrical Power Engineering

2018Starts the new field of studies: Electrical Engineering –– dual studies
