Popular Science Seminar titled “Glass and Light Engineering”
09-05-2023On behalf of the Organizing Committee, I cordially invite you to participate in the seminar titled “Glass and Light Engineering” organized as part of the International Day of Light celebrations, which will be held on May 16, 2023, at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Bialystok University of Technology.
The aim of the seminar is to exchange knowledge, present the latest scientific achievements, and discuss current issues related to glass engineering and light.
This year, the seminar will focus on the latest achievements in the field of innovative glass materials, fiber lasers, biosensors, and lighting techniques. We have prepared a series of popular science lectures that will start at 10:00 am in Lecture Hall 1 of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Bialystok University of Technology. We have invited employees of the Bialystok University of Technology and guests from leading Polish universities – the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow and the WAT Military University of Technology.
Ph.D. students will present their scientific achievements obtained as part of their own research and related to the implementation of research grants in a poster session, which will follow the popular science lecture section.
Additionally, in a special session organized as part of the NCLas project – NanoCrystals in Fibre Lasers and the International Day of Light, papers on innovative solutions in fiber laser technology will be presented.
Participation in the seminar is free of charge.
