Features of secondary emission of chromophores near plasmonic silver and gold nanostructures
The results of studying the optical properties of plasmonic nanostructures and heterostructures based on them and the possibilities of amplifying the signals of the secondary emission of adsorbates by them are presented. Silver and gold nanostructured samples were investigated using chromophore objects: molecules and quantum dots. A physical picture of atypically amplified radiation of adsorbates located near the plasmon surface is proposed on the basis of the „dressed photon” concept. Optical reflection spectra of s- and p-polarized light of plasmonic silver and gold films atop quartz substrates were investigated as comparison of experimental and calculated data within the Maxwell-Garnett approximation.
