His research areas cover the field of fabrication and analysis of spectroscopic properties of rare \u2013 earth doped and co-doped optical fibers from soft and silica glasses. He is an author\/co-author over 120 publications in this field. H &#8211; index 19. He has been a member of International Conferences related to photonics luminescent material engineering as well as RE-doped optical fibers. He has participated in 15 research projects in Poland. Collaboration with i.a.: Institute IFN \u2013 CNR in Trento (Italy), Institute of Photonics and Electronics of the AS CR, v.v.i., Prague (Czech Republic), Institut f\u00fcr Photonische Technologien, Jena (Germany).
